Florence Lowry- Gallery Director
Flo has been with the gallery for eleven years, starting in the basement and working her way up to now leading our team fearlessly as Director. Flo’s parents acquired the gallery in 2007 and this new venture was certainly a family affair. In 2015, Flo herself then opened the gallery in London and was there for two years building an enhanced and sustainable collection of both artist and customers with her extensive knowledge and passion for art. Having lived in Paris and having a vested interest in the fashion world, entrepreneurial Flo started her own Personal Stylist business and this attention to detail and interest in design has successfully influenced the gallery in Falmouth hugely. Flo is an energetic and active director and plays a role in every part of the gallery. She especially enjoys and champions new, emerging artists and giving these young people a platform for their talent. However, the heritage of this gallery is what drives this young director; ambition for the future yet a secured identity make for an exciting combination.
Amanda Charles- Gallery Assistant
Amanda Charles has worked within the Arts industry for the last fifteen years along with becoming a freelance fashion designer in London. Her visionary artistic flair and attention to detail is a great asset to the gallery. Amanda studied Fashion and Textile Design and has a growing practice of her own which consists of intricate and delicate pieces such as robes and lingerie. With a great affinity for the visual identity of the gallery, Amanda has a consistent and innovative style which she applies to the hanging of the gallery. Amanda has been with the gallery for two years and has great relationships with both artists and customers.
Holly Nicholls- Gallery Assistant
Holly has just recently graduated from Bath School of Art and Design with a degree in Fine Art, specialising in painting and will be going on to study a Masters at Edinburgh. As our newest addition to the gallery Holly is learning the ropes and loves the diversity and dynamic nature of working in a gallery which pioneers individualism and impressionism. As a painter Holly's strengths lie in collaborating with our artists who work in this sphere, as well as utilising our social media presence and writing statements for artists or interviewing them discussing their exhibitions. Holly’s own practice is currently based on an interest in her experience of the external natural world, this takes the form of large scale, abstract oil paintings. She has exhibited across the country, most recently at The Freelands Foundation in London and is a content writer for The Gallery Collectors. Holly plans to continue to work across the creative sector and hopes to establish a long term career as an artist and writer.
