Having spent most of her childhood holidays in Cornwall, her parents having a holiday cottage just outside Wadebridge, Emilys love of the rugged North Cornish coast was instilled in her from a very early age. As a child many hours were spent combing beaches for the most interesting shells, whiling the summer days away searching for the elusive cowrie or looking in warm rock pools for shrimps and fish.
The coast has always been a huge part of her life. Taking this love Emily began to incorporate the sea into her jewellery. Having a large collection of shells she began to cast them, the Epphaven mussel pendant being her first piece, and make them into pieces of jewellery. She now has a wonderful jewellery collection which is constantly having new pieces introduced.
"I am a Cornish jewellery designer living just outside Wadebridge. I make silver and gold jewellery out of shells which I have found on local Cornish beaches and a few on beaches in other countries. I make moulds from these original shells, cast them and then each piece is hand finished and turned into a beautiful piece of jewellery"
