| "Painting
is very much a necessity for me, even when I'm not physically
painting I am persistantly painting in my mind. I am inspired
by the landscape continually and even day-to-day events
like taking my daughter to school, provide me with renewed
connections and starting points for paintings. My drive
is the recreation of moments in a way that has meaning.
Through these works I can be less solitary, sharing something
of myself in a visual and emotional way that portrays
the landscape that involves us all - through experience,
memory and emotion - a process that I love and cannot
be without." |
