| I
believe that Renoir once said to Monet that he had no interest
in painting snow, referring to it as "..the leprosy of
nature". Renoir liked painting subjects full of happiness
and in his own words "..did not want to contribute anymore
ugliness to the world". In a similar vein, I want my work
to take people to the places that are meaningful to me in the
way that is at once optimistic and beautiful and in a manner
that is suffused with integrity and - for my part - joy. |
