After
many years in Norfolk earning a reputation as a successful
landscape artist, Michael spent some time living in
Thailand, painting the colourful beaches and crumbling
ancient temples. Following this he spent 6 years living
on the French Cote D'Azure where he exhibited in Mougins,
St Paul de Vence and Monaco.
He
then decided to return to England with his family.
A long standing love of Cornwall inspired by family
holidays walking and fishing around Fowey brought
him down to Cornwall. Initially based in Helford he
now lives in Falmouth.
Michael's
paintings reflect the changing seasons, reflecting
the love of the Cornish environment and ever changing
colours of the sea, sky and light. He uses oil, acrylic,
gouache and watercolour combined with collage techniques
to reflect the changing mood of nature.
