Lewin - Gallery Paintings

This,
the final show in our 2011 Contemporary Impressionism season,
is an extraordinary example of two key elements of Impressionism,
these being landscape painting and painting in the landscape,
both of which are hallmarks of Paul Lewin's work. The artist's
relationship with Cornwall's spectacular natural environment
is what compels him to paint, the creative journey being matched
by Lewin's physically journeying into the landscapes that
inspire and motivate him most. This collection is one of his
most spectacular as it combines the richness of inland vistas
with the breathtaking drama of some of Cornwall's most precipitous
cliffs and coves.
