Pater Hayes studied at Moseley School of Art, completing a Fine Art BA Hons through Birmingham College of Art
Peter Hayes is based in Bath where his studio overlooks the Avon. Having trained at Birmingham College of Art he became a craft advisor traveling widely for the Commonwealth Secretariat in Africa, India and the Far East. These cultures greatly influence his work today.
