I am an artist based in Falmouth specialised in plein air drawing and painting. My work is always completed on location, enabling me to capture the dynamic light and atmosphere of place. I like to use watercolour combined with drawing in pencil and oil which gives and immediacy to the drawings, keeping them lively and conveying the movement of a place.

I started my professional career as an artist in Paris where I exhibited in situ drawing and painting created on the streets of that city. Moving on to, the olive groves of Greece, the streets of Cuba, and the highways of the United States were all subjects which inspired me, both for the human stories and the colour and contrasts of those different landscapes. In recent years I have been working in Cairo where I continued interpreting urban spaces but expanding my media into charcoal; one of these drawings has just been awarded a prize at the prestigious Trinity Bay Wharf Drawing Prize in London. I have participated in many exhibitions including three showings at the Royal Hibernian Academy show in Dublin, the Royal Watercolour Society in London, the Affordable Art Fair in London as well as enjoying solo and joint shows in Cairo, Berlin and Ireland.
