Jon Doran: New Arrivals

Seven new paintings by Penryn based artist Jon Doran. Jon uses a unique process of oil painting that blends a range of textures and effects creating a contemporary, fragmented outcome. His subject matter concerns local landscapes of the Cornish coast; this latest collection predominantly focusing on the dramatic North Coast cliffs, rocks and sandy beach of Porthtowan, and featuring other works of Sennen, Bassets Cove and Penryn. There is a sure meditative, peaceful quality to Jon’s work as he perfectly captures an essence of being in each of his paintings.
