“A carved tea bowl in layers of glaze, applied in a manner that deliberately leaves some brush marks to avoid a uniformity that would take away from its ‘wabi- sabi’ feel. A close up of the reflective nature of this piece. You can see here the interactions of the glazes working together- a crackled glaze lying beneath the reflective surface and another that creates a subtle “water mark” through its brushed application.”
